Engine: Although it displaces 510 ci, the V-10 architecture allows big displacement with a relatively short stroke. The stock crank has been offset-ground to 3.990 inches, and the block is bored to 4.030 inches. Long Oliver 6.20-inch rods swing a set of Ross 8.5:1 pistons, and custom billet main caps hold everything in place. Ported factory cylinder heads with 74cc chambers flow 295 cfm on the intake side and a healthy 240 cfm on the exhaust. Cam specs are classified. Heffner’s Performance custom-built the 13⁄4-inch headers that drive a pair of 61mm turbos regulated by dual 38mm TiAl wastegates. The hot sides dump into dual 3.5-inch Dynomax pipes. The cold sides feed twin 70mm Accufab throttle-bodies and a stock intake manifold. A Paxton external fuel pump sucks from a stock gas tank, and the ECU is a standalone AEM unit. Performance: Based on vehicle weight and quarter-mile trap speed, horsepower is estimated at 1,600 at the crank.
Transmission: G-Force rebuilt the box, but the stock Tremec T56 is still a conventional manual trans with a Centerforce clutch.
Rearend: The factory Dana IRS is fortified with Mark Williams 35-spline halfshafts. Amazingly, a Quaiffe limited-slip differential puts the power down.
