po reli audiju quattro je zmaga dizla na vseh dirkah serije Le Mans največji preboj in tehnološka promocija Audija. Bili bi zelo neumni, če tega ne bi maksimalno izkoristili, ne glede na nekatere, ki jim pri športnih avtih očitno največ pomeni zvok motorja :evil: . Poleg tega se v ZDA , ki je za Audi zelo pomembno tržišče, hitro širi drugačno dojemanje dizla, v tem seveda vidijo rešitev za njihove SUV-e in Truck-e. Hkrati je to tržna niša, v kateri so trenutno lahko edini in se hkrati elegantno izognejo kanibalizmu do Lamborghinija.
O navoru, dosegu in zanesljivosti/zdržljivosti pa raje ne bi.

Auto Bild je nekaj dni nazaj pisal, da Audi zamuja z uvajanjem avta v proizvodnjo zaradi težav s pregrevanjem/hlajenjem motorja (tudi nekateri modeli Lamborghinija) in prekomerne obrabe pnevmatik. Audi to seveda zanika, češ da je proizvodnja v polnem pogonu (gume seveda nataknejo zadnje :P ).

Tak avto zna biti precej velik tržni uspeh. Že samo občutek v takem avtomobilu s 1000 Nm navora mora bit fenomenalen. Stroj za dolge nemške avtoceste! 8)

Js bi prej reku da stroj za mesto(poziranje), podeželje(ovinkaste ceste vsaj nekaj možnosti za izkoristek konjenice pod pokrovom),...
Za dolge nemške avtoceste pride bolj v poštev A8.

Super novica za ljubitelje superšportnikov - prvi dizel med superšportniki :P

Motor bo isti kot v Q7 (V 12 - 500 KM), torej bo (zaradi dosti večjega navora kot pri V10) R8 TDI najhitrejši R8. Ni še gotovo, da bo, ker imajo probleme z velikostjo in tudi s filtrom sajastih delcev, a delajo na tem. Komaj čakamo :D

Senior board members confirm Audi is working on a diesel version of its new R8 Porsche-fighter in the aftermath of its historic 2006 Le Mans win with the diesel-powered R10 racer.

The engine is the same as that just launched in the Q7 and introduced in the A8, a 6.0-liter V-12 with 500 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque. That's slightly less power than the Lamborghini-derived V-10 version will have, but way more torque. With the right gearing, this means the diesel could be the quickest of the R8s.

The R8 TDI hasn't been approved for production yet, but if it gets a green light, it'll be unique among sports cars, although Mercedes-Benz displayed Bluetec diesel SL and SLK concepts at the 2005 Geneva show.

Audi insiders admit the diesel R8 has a couple hurdles to overcome. Though compact, the V-12 diesel is bigger and heavier than the V-10 and V-8 gas engines. Another issue is whether the diesel particulate filter trap would fit between the R8's mid-engine and its rear bumper. But if the R8 TDI is okayed, look for it in Audi showrooms no earlier than model-year 2009.

Diesel v superšportniku je pri audiju bolj reklamnega značaja. Tu ne razmišljajo ravno v smislu ali se jim po finančni vložek v ta model povrnil ali ne. Gre se za krepitev zaupanja v njihovo TDI tehnologijo, na kateri že praktično slonita blagovni znamki Audi in VW, pa tudi Škoda.

Vedno je potrebno imeti nek visokocenovni model, ki ni nujno, da se dobro prodaja, in nižje cenovno pozicionirane modele, na katerih se realizirajo količine.
Hitro se daleč pride

Niti ni nujno. Dizel so not vtaknili predvsem zaradi promocije, to je jasno, a splačal se jim gotovo bo, če se bo relativno dobro prodajal. Kar je pri Nemcih in še kom možno. Ne smemo pozabit, da je V12 TDI že v Q7, pride še v A8, majhna možnost, da tudi v A6 (v nov model), kar vse pomeni večje količine in zniževanje stroškov produkcije in razvoja. Do te mere, da bo motor sam morda cenejši kot Lambo V10 v R8. Če ga bo trg sprejel, bo tudi rentabilen. Taka promocija Audijeve tehnologije je pa tudi ekonomsko gledano precej vredna.

Sem malo poiskal, pa ne najdem. Možno oz verjetno je, da je to novica, povezana z novico na tem linku http://www.autoblog.com/2006/10/01/leak ... 8-details/ , kjer pa zdaj povezave več ne delajoi. Verjetno so umaknili ta dokument. Moram it, če ne najdeš, pošlji ZS, bom ponoči še malo pogledal
