Tale mišičnjak mi je še parkrat lepši od novega mustanga. Enostavno nepopisljivo je lep, morda ni toliko brutalen kot predhodnik, je pa čudovit do konca. Kje ga lahko kupim ( čez par let ko zaslužim dovolj :P ) Tudi barva mi je všeč, zanimiva bi bila kakšna stupena limeta-zelena :twisted:

Multiple media sources are reporting that the Dodge Challenger coupe is a go, and that Chrysler will make the official announcement tomorrow at Daytona before this weekend's NASCAR Pepsi 400 Nextel Cup race.

The announcement is coming earlier than expected. Word is that Chrysler will promote Challenger all summer to create buzz (that won't be hard) and drive traffic into its showrooms. This announcement comes the same weekend that the automaker is revealing a new ad campaign and fresh discounts for customers.

The Detroit news reports that the car should be in production by 2008, with a price slightly above that of the current Mustang. Only a V8 will be offered.

The Challenger Concept made its debut at this year's Detroit show, and is powered by a 6.1L 425-horsepower HEMI V8.

Mopar fans, your wish has been granted. Now, let's see if GM holds up its part of the deal and greenlights the Camaro (the pressure to do so will be huge now with the Challenger announcement). As things stand, it looks like the ponycar wars are quickly moving from the show floor to the showroom.

Pismu tale Camaro je od hudiča. A bo ta avto tud v Evropo pršu? Sem šlišal, da bodo cene bol nozke, okrog 40.000€.

WTF? 4 vrata? Kaj je z lučmi zadaj? A ni to Charger? Mogoče mu pripravljajo face lift ali pa je tole mula za Challengerja?

Ja, narobe sem se izrazil. Mislim sem napisat, da gre za prvi konkretni dokaz, da dejansko razvijajo in testirajo Challenger za serijsko proizvodnjo. Do sedaj se je o tem samo govorilo.

Earlier this year, spy photos emerged of a production-ready Dodge Challenger and now details on the car's drivetrains have been leaked ahead of the car's February debut at the Chicago Auto Show.

The Challenger was originally expected to be offered with a manual transmission and V8 engine only, but Allpar.com is reporting that the first 5,000 units will all be SRT-8 models with an automatic transmission. In addition, these first car will begin production as early as March 2008 and will be sold as 2008 model year cars.

Shortly after that initial production run, Dodge will be offering three models of the Challenger as 2009 model year cars. The base model will be powered by a 3.5L V6 and will be mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. The 3.5L will be replaced by Chrysler's upcoming 4.0L Phoenix V6, but probably not until the 2011 model year.

R/T models will come equipped with a 5.7L V8 and buyers will have the option of a five-speed automatic or a six-speed manual. The SRT-8 model adds a 6.1L V8 and can be mated to a five-speed auto or six-speed manual. A 6.4L could show up in the SRT model as soon as the 2010 model year.

A convertible is also expected to bow sometime in 2009 with all three trim levels available.

Manual transmission cars will come with Chrysler's Hill Start Assist technology — as used in the Dodge Ram, Jeep Commander, Grand Cherokee and the Liberty — which maintains brake pressure until throttle is applied.

Dodge will also offer a Trak Pack, which appears to be little more than a marketing name given to a specific package of transmission, shifter and gearing.

Recent images have also confirm the addition of a b-pillar to the Challenger's structure. Other less noticeable changes include taillights that have been divided into sections, a simplified grille, larger side mirrors, and more typical door handles.
