Res nisem nikakeršen ekspert v poznavanju ameriške kulture in njihovega življenskega stila. Edino res malo so mi približno sanja kako pa kaj. Marsikaj glede avtomobilov je bilo na tem forumu že povedano in premleto zato ne bom spet o tem.
Bi pa omenil to, da je amerika zelo velik trg kjer se dobi popolnoma VSE kar se na svetu lahko za denar dobi!! In tudi kupna moč je je v ZDA največja! In ker so američani načeloma zelo odprti ljudje, se hitro navdušijo nad vsem mogočimi novimi stvarmi. Nekateri želijo samo izstopati pa čeprav s čisto neuporabnim avtomobilom, kot fiat 500npr. ali pa želijo biti "modni" in si kupijo hibrida, ker je "kao" ekološki :roll: . Na kratko: v ameriko je možno prodati vsako neumnost! Zato vse firme že odnekdaj želijo prodreti na ameriški trg! Saj, če tam uspeš si zmagal. Zaradi tega je tudi tak pritisk vseh mogočih tujih firm med njimi seveda tudi avtomobilskih (agresivna reklama, tudi z dumpinškami cenami....) in verjetno je res, da ščitijo tudi svojo industrijo. Vsaka normalna država ščiti svojo industrijo. Pa ne pozabit, da je med to zaščiteno industrijo v ZDA tudi Toyota in Honda.

Ja saj vem, da bodo zdaj nekateri trdili, da je jugo ful dober avto, predvsem pa boljši od ameriških kant. :EE

Načeloma mi je v bistvu vseeno kakšne in čigave avtomobile bojo v prihodnosti kupovali v ameriki, bi si pa želel, da bi bili evropejci malo manj zadrti in samovšečni in raje kupili kakšen pravi ameriški avto več.

Mogoče ni kupna moč v ZDA najmočnejša (odvisno recimo od tega, ali gledamo "EU", ali gledamo Europo, ali celo Azijo...), je pa tam vsekakor potrošništvo najbolje razvito in največje navdušenje nad raznimi novimi "igračkami", tudi če so kaj dražje.

Novi šef Fiata Lapo Elkann (glej prvo novico v prejšnjem postu) se je na konferenco pripeljal s temle avtom in zaradi napisa “Italian Motherfucker” požel kritiko oz zgražanje pri nekaterih, ki napisa niso ustrezno prevedli oz razumeli (npr Repubblica).

The great American designer could resume service in his former home, Fiat. This return could be facilitated by the fact that Chris Bangle has opened his own design studio in the Piedmont region some time ago and a certain proximity to the company that left him create, among other things the Alfa 145 and especially the beautiful Fiat Coupe (in collaboration with Pininfarina).


Remember that Chris Bangle has led Fiat Style Centre in the mid 80s to early 90s. If you are returning to the car continues, Bangle may have supported the renewal of the whole image of Fiat, but also much of the adaptation of American models to European brands but also for the opposite brand Lancia and Alfa Romeo. LANCIA OFFERS A FASCINATING INSIGHT INTO ITS DESIGN THINKING IN RECENT YEARS

Lancia has just launched a new website, and in the process provided a fascinating insight into the company’s thinking over the past few years. Lancisti have not had much to sustain their enthusiasm in recent times, but a series of design sketches released this week offer a glimpse at various projects that remained stillborn. The array of sketches fall right into the ‘what if’ category, one after another vividly capturing the essence of the legendary 104-year old carmaker’s values of style, design, innovation and driving pleasure, and confirming the cutting-edge design synonymous with the Lancia brand remains alive – even if it is presently somewhat choked.

Over the last few years, there has been repeated talk of a ‘specialty’ model from Lancia, first from former Lancia CEO Luca de Meo, then his successor Antonio Baravalle, and finally from the current incumbent Olivier François, although hopes in this direction have now evaporated. The sketches offer a tantalising look at what might have been on the minds of senior management as they looked for a ‘halo’ project that was never given the green light.

Most sensationally, the sketches reveal that a modern-day interpretation of the legendary Lancia Montecarlo sportscar was seriously considered – this an iconic model that has long since entered the history books as a true representative of everything good about ‘made in Italy’. The 2008 sketches, by designer Dennis Braga reveal a dramatic form that puts it straight into the ‘supercar’ category, and are bursting with current family DNA, most notably from the Delta. The interior images for the project also portray all the dashing style and innovation built into the brand’s heart by founder Vincenzo Lancia, and for which it is still synonymous today.

The other sketches similarly reveal a flurry of dramatic projects that slot right into the Lancia mould, including high-performance sports cars, such as Stefano Bertolo’s 2008 ‘Latorama’ concept and outlines for a ‘new Stratos’, as well as an aggressive-yet-elegant coupe, also dating from 2008.

Detail is also provided on the compact sporty ‘Deltina’ hatchback project, as well as possible thoughts towards the interior of a new Thesis, while a four-door coupe proposal from 2005, a potential SUV from 2008, and Braga’s futuristic ‘Velo’ highlight the creative richness still emanating from Lancia Centro Stile. Insight is also to be found into early thinking for the next-generation Ypsilon, due next year, as well as a fascinating city car project dubbed ‘Heres’. All can be instantly recognised as offspring of the brand in their evocative design language and reinterpretation of its historical influences.

In addition, a number of the sketches reveal a thoroughly futuristic streak running through Centro Stile, with proposals for new ‘experiential’ Lancia dealerships, ‘augmented car-human’ urban transport solutions, and even ‘Star Wars’-style ‘pods’, showing definitively the level of imagination pumping through the design studios despite the brand’s lack of new metal.

While it is somewhat curious that so many sketches should be released onto the official website, Lancia Centro Stile is understood to currently be in competition with Chrysler’s designers to determine the future of the joint Lancia-Chrysler entity, and the presentation of these images helps graphically illustrate – were proof needed – that the Italian carmaker still has some of the finest automobile designers working today on its books.

Groupe Fiat : De nouvelles grandes berlines et un crossover….

Il fallait bien que nous commencions à en parler autrement qu’au travers des plans de S.Marchionne, alors je vous propose de découvrir les premiers previews des futures Maserati, Lancia et SUV Fiat. Je commencerais par vous parler de la plus prestigieuse des trois, à savoir la future berline « compacte » de Maserati qui aura la rude tache de s’attaquer aux premiums allemands, japonais ou anglais du segment des Classe E, serie5, XF et A6 entres autres.

Cette Maserati compacte devrait développée sur la plateforme de la future Chrysler 200C ( qui pourrait d’ailleurs s’appeler autrement ) et devrait mesurer aux environs de 4.85 m. Bien évidement cette berline sera une propulsion motorisée par le V6 Pentastar dans une version italiannisée que l’on nous promet digne du logo Maserati. Cette future Maserati attendue pour 2012/2013 avait été annoncée pour avoir une tarification raisonnable eut égard à son nom puisqu’on parlait de 50.000€ environ, les dernières informations parlent désormais de 60.000€ ce qui n’est plus tout à fait la même chose ! La Maserati compacte devrait proposée des performances, un confort et un équipement digne de Maserati tout en étant produite en Amérique du nord … une affaire à suivre et en attendant, voici un premier preview.

La seconde berline nous vient de chez Lancia et il s’agit de la Théma II puisqu’il semble que ce soit le nom que la direction du groupe ait choisi pour la prochaine grande Lancia . Adieu Thésis, adieu Flaminia, dommage. Cette nouvelle grande Lancia sera développée sur la plate forme de la prochaine Chrysler Sebring ( ex 200C ) et devrait reprendre une bonne partie des éléments de cette dernière tant au niveau mécanique que pour la carrosserie. Cette Théma 2012 devrait se voir motorisée par un moteur Chrysler iWGE de 2.0 L ou 2.4 L qui devraient proposer au conducteur entre 165 et 200 chevaux environs. Plus haut en gamme, on devrait retrouver le V6 Pentastar soit en 3.3 L, soit en 3.6 L avec une puissance maximum de 300 chevaux ( un peu moins que chez Maserati où l’on parle de 320-330 chevaux ). Du coté des motorisations diesels, on pourrait avoir deux propositions, à savoir le récent 2.0 L JTDM 170 en entrée de gamme et le nouveau V6 diesel FPT de 3.0 L avec des puissances comprises entre 225 et 250 chevaux. A voir dans quelques mois.

La dernière information concerne l’arrivée de ce que l’on pourra appeler un crossover au sein de la gamme Fiat et qui sera dérivé de l’actuelle Dodge Journey. Ce crossover devrait mesurer aux environs de 4.90 m, proposera jusqu’à 7 places et profitera fort heureusement des moteur Fiat de nouvelle génération dont le 2.0 JTDM qui devrait rempalcer sans peine l’actuel 2.0 L injecteurs/pompes né VW TDi 140. L’habitacle devrait aussi évoluer avec une planche de bord revue et nettement améliorée en terme de qualité et de design. Ce modèle de crossover devrait être présenté dans le courant du premier semestre 2011 et pourrait être commercialisé à l’automne 2011.

Voilà les quelques élements que j’ai pu recueillir pour l’instant avec l’aide Gianni qui nous tient souvent au courant de la vie automobile transalpine. Merci.

The Topolino will have to be presented later in the year 2012 for marketing later this year or early 2013. It is based on the modular platform shortened Panda and the next should meusrer between 3.25 and 3.0 m long with a transport capacity for 4 passengers. This can be powered by Fiat Topolino's new 0.9 L EMS TwinAir both versions atmospheric Turbo version only. In addition to the twin of the firm in Turin, Fiat this microphone might be broken down version of EV to cope with possible competition from a small electric cars that could or should reach the market in coming years. Best New Engine of 2010

Fiat 1.4-litre MultiAir Turbo

Fiat’s MultiAir, the single most innovative engine technology to appear in the past 12 months, has been rewarded by the Awards judging panel with the title of Best New Engine of 2010.

MultiAir employs an electrohydraulic system to independently control each cylinder’s inlet air charge. Depending on the driving situation, there are five main modes of inlet valve timing and lift, but in principle MultiAir enables infinitely variable control of the inlet valves.

The system is particularly special because it is able to increase power and torque while reducing fuel consumption and emissions. The concept is therefore ideal for today’s world of eco-conscious, downsized automotive powertrains.

Fiat Powertrain Technologies, which has developed and patented the system, claims that, compared with a traditional petrol engine of the same displacement, a MultiAir unit brings up to 10% more power and 15% more torque, while improving fuel economy by up to 10% and reducing emissions, whether they be CO2 (-10%), particulate matter (-40%) or NOx (-60%).

Taking as an example the 170bhp variant of the winning 1.4-litre turbo engine, which appears in the Alfa MiTo Cloverleaf, Alfa claims 6 l/100km (47mpg) on the combined cycle for the 170bhp unit, which is more than half a litre less than the previous 155bhp, non-MultiAir engine. A start/ stop system also helps cut fuel consumption levels.

The judges were predictably enamoured with a system that offers such impressive benefits. “Fiat’s MultiAir gives traditional internal combustion a breath of fresh air via an entirely new set of valvetrain strategies,” was the verdict of respected technical journalist, Dennis Simanaitis of Road & Track.

Fiat plans to roll MultiAir out across additional engine families. Next to benefit will be the eagerly anticipated two-cylinder turbo, which is on track to offer an astonishing 105bhp!

kar pripravi se na "premiero" kajti v filmu kjer vlada kapital ( denar) se vidi marsikaj tudi čudeže.
