Razlog so slabi prodajni rezultati in negativne številke. Podjetji bosta še vedno sodelovali pri proizvodnji gospodarskih vozil.
FIAT si je hitro našel novega partnerja v Cheryju. Očitno je kitajski trg le prevelik, da bi se ga ignoriralo. Skupno podjetje bo proizvajalo Bravo, Lineo in Punto.
Sicer sta podjetje že prej podpisali sporazume o proizvodnji vozil Alfa Romeo ter o dobavi Cheryjevih motorjev Fiatu.Chery Automobile will definitely establish partnership with Italian automaker Fiat Group to build a passenger vehicle joint venture in China in 2008, an official from Chery Automobile confirmed recently.
Besides establishing the joint venture, Chery and Fiat also plan to locally produce Fiat Linea, Bravo and Grand Punto after they are imported to Chinese market, according to Jin Gebo, the director of Chery's administrative office.
This August, Fiat and Chery have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a 50:50 passenger car joint venture and an engine supply contract, but there are no further negotiation reported until very recently, when Fiat announced to pull out of Nanjing Automobile.
Fiat's venture with Nanjing Automobile had been losing money for years; and China's SAIC has achieved a long expected acquisition of Nanjing Auto to follow government calls for the creation of a national champion to challenge foreign automakers in China.
"Fiat aims to boost China sales to 263,000 cars a year by 2010 from 32,000 units in 2006, and will introduce a slew of new models into the country in coming years," Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne said in a statement.
At present, products of Fudi covers primarily in complete vehicle, automobile body and spare parts. martin_krpan je napisal/-a:Na kitajskem imajo status domačega avtomobila tisti, ki se tam proizvajajo. Največje dajatve doletijo uvožene avtomobile. Vozila, ki se sestavljajo na podlagi uvoženih delov (CKD), so oproščena dela dajatev.
In ker je kitajski trg zaradi svoje velikosti in potencialov zelo pomemben za vse avtoproizvajalce, imajo že skoraj vsi koncerni kakšno tovarno. Na Kitajskem se recimo proizvajajo BMW 3 in 5, Audi A4 in A6, Mercedes E, novi Mondeo in Focus, Mazdi 3 in 6 (pravkar je štartala proizvodnja nove dvojke), Volvo S40, številne Toyote, Honde in Nissani (tudi luksuzni modeli, pa novi Accord, ki ga sploh še ni v Evropi), novi Passat, Polo (tudi Cross), Touran, Citroen C4, Buicki, Cadillaci,... če omenim samo modernejše primerke.
General Motors has maintained a leading position as the top selling automaker in the Chinese market for the full year of 2007, according to a report released by National Association of Passenger Manufacturers yesterday.
In 2007, Shanghai GM sold 500,308 vehicles, leading car sales in Chinese market for three consecutive years. Shanghai GM also is the first passenger vehicle company in China to sell over half a million vehicles a year. Shanghai GM sold 160,500 units Chevrolet vehicles in 2007, up 56.4 percent from one year earlier; in the same year, the automaker sold 332,000 Buick vehicles, an increase of 27,800 units from one year earlier; the company also sold 7,040 Cadillac and 618 Saab vehicles.
FAW VW sold 459,359 vehicles in 2007, of which Jetta alone accounts for 43.49 percent of the total volume. Despite the rising sales, Jetta and Audi were also the main contributors to FAW-VW's profit gains.
Shanghai VW comes as the third biggest seller in Chinese market, which sold 436,343 vehicles in 2007. Four models, including Passat, Santana, Santana 3000, Polo represent 91.07 percent of its total sales.
Chery Automobile, the fourth biggest seller, sold 381.000 vehicles, about 1,100 units short of its annual target. Of the 381,000 vehicles it sold, 119,800 were exported.
The fastest growing automaker in Chinese market was Changan Ford Mazda, which saw sales climbed 60 percent to 217,100 units in 2007, far ahead of industry average.
Tucked away in the lower level of Cobo Center, tiny BYD Auto is already displaying a plug-in hybrid, the F6DM (for dual-mode). The midsize sedan, which was unveiled in November at the Guangzhou auto show in China, is powered by a new low-cost battery developed by BYD.
BYD's parent company is one of the world's largest makers of cell-phone batteries.
The F6DM reportedly can be driven about 60 miles in electric mode and nearly 270 miles by using the gasoline engine as a generator to charge the battery pack. Top speed is 100 mph. BYD said the batteries can be recharged to 70 percent of capacity in just 10 minutes.
The company plans to begin building and selling a version of the F6DM in China in late 2008. It has no plans to market the plug-in hybrids in North America until after 2010.
