Opel Astra GTC: First official pictures

Here at Prora, the first two images of the new Opel Astra GTC (or coupe or 3 door)! This is not an Opel that you find a Vauxhall but since the images come from the UK and are part of either an internal or a catalog being prepared.



We discover a priori version VXR ( OPC in the rest of Europe) which will be powered by the L4 2. 0 L Ecotec Turbo in a version whose power will be close to 280-290 hp. Any part chassis has been adapted to such power so that the Opel makes a par with the Mégane or Focus, which are the references of the segment in terms of road. According infooramtions collected by Autocar, only the wheels are not final and may be changed upon by the launch of this version very athletic. For the remaining ingredients and shape of the GTC concept car Paris are there especially at the rear of the car and enjoy the pictures too. Version OPC will feature a new electronic differential which will unfortunately take the place of a mechanical system, however, finer, more responsive and precise. It should also have a superimposed double wishbones at the front (same Insignia) with HiPerStrut system that normally provides greater accuracy in guiding the wheels while limiting torque to lift the wheel.

Small disappointment, however, the Astra GTC will not be finalized in Geneva, but in Frankfurt in September Laor version that OPC will debut at the Geneva Motor Show ... 2012! So we have to still wait before discovering a bit more about this lovely Astra GTC ... Just enough time to save some money!
