Mazda is preparing a new city car concept that will roll the Taiki, Ryuga, Hakaze and Furai design themes into one small package. The concept — dubbed the Mazda1 — will debut at this year's Paris Motor and we now know what the concept will look like, thanks to a sketch that emerged on the internet.
The Mazda1 promises to be the first car from the Japanese automaker that utilizes the company's Nagare design theme. The Mazda1 will begin production in 2010, and Mazda officials say the small car will give a good indication of the styling for future models. The next Mazda3 is expected to bow sometime in 2010, so look for it to borrow some design cues from the Mazda1.
The Mazda1 concept will feature sliding doors and will feature satellite navigation, iPod connectivity and Blue-tooth. The Mazda1 will also be environmentally friendly, largely due to a minuscule curb weight.
