We managed to get over 300 km/h in the 850 CSi as well and the 850 CSi superiour torque (over 600 Nm with the Nowack tuning) helped us to accelerate significantly faster over 280 km/h than the Kelleners Sport M3 E46 The 850 CSi was a very comfortable Autobahn cruiser. Too bad it drank fule like two M3s!

Also, it was an adventure stepping out of the CTR, a diagonal part of the rollcage was going from the middle of the B-pillar to the floor. But you certainly enjoy safetyfeatures like that when you realise you are going in a car from 1987 that is faster than almost any productoin car out there today. In fact it is faster than the Porsche Carrera GT in top speed. CTR stands for: Inspired by the Porsche 962 Group C Turbo by Ruf.
Here we got pulled over by an unmarked "Polizei". They were very interested in the Arabic licensplates, When they saw the license along with a passport with diplomatic immunity they suddenly became very friendly and overtly polite. I should have had that in Sweden as well! So no problem this time.
