BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Ford Motor Co's premium brand Jaguar is not for sale, the head of Ford's European business told Reuters on Monday, dismissing talk that the number-two U.S. carmaker could divest the loss-making brand.

"No. There are no truths in those persistent rumors," Lewis Booth said when asked if Jaguar were for sale. He also said Ford of Europe was on track to hit its 2005 earnings targets and to cut 2,600 jobs as planned without resorting to forced layoffs.
