Najbolj mi gre pa na jetra, da po so na prehitevalnem pasu non-stop avti s 160+. Ko jst s svojimi 130/h dohitim tovornjak, ga pa ne morem prehitet, ker bi se mi nekdo zakantal v rit. In moram bremzat do 90/h.

The court in Struga, southern Macedonia, heard that Morley was driving at 100mph on a road with a 40mph limit.

You didn't think the Gumball saga was finished, did you? The latest turn: Nick Morley has been completely absolved of responsibility by the family of the Macedonian couple that was killed in a car accident in this year's rally. Morley was the one was was driving the Techart 911 at the time of the 2-car, twin-fatality crash in Macedonia.
We're not conspiracy theorists, but Macedonians are either the most forgiving people on the planet, or the fix is in. The family not only forgave Morley, but retracted their plans to seek compensation of £100,000, asked that Morley be released from custody and allowed to return to Britain, and tacitly blamed Vladimir, the driver of the Golf, for the accident by saying "It was just fate that forced Vladimir to drive wrongly." Morley, for his part, took no responsibility, saying: he was only going 60 kph, he obeyed all laws, it was the other driver's fault, he tried to help the couple, he only got in the other car and left because people started shouting at him, and he planned on stopping at the border to report the accident. Oh, and the Porsche wasn't even his. And he's not rich. And he doesn't know why the media is saying that, because he's "just a simple property developer." And he doesn't feel guilty, but he does "feel regret for the victims."
It turns out, however, that Morley's brother Oliver actually is rich, and has spoken with the family, but there's been no comment on what transpired. Hmmm...

Following the death of a Macedonian couple earlier this month on the Gumball 3000, European cops are urging a ban on Gumball 3000, Carbon Black and Cannonball Europe. Tispol-affiliated officers plan to share information about the rallies and their routes with each other in order to stop the events, much in the way German Police officers halted the Gumball in Germany. It'll be interesting to see what effect the coordinated effort has on this summer's Cannonball, scheduled for July, as well as its impact on rallies run in the United States.
Timesonline je napisal/-a:Nicholas Morley, 30, from Bowden, Cheshire, has been charged with dangerous driving after being arrested while allegedly trying to leave Macedonia by private jet.
Dutch police also seized a Porsche and a Ferrari being driven by Gumball contestants. The Porsche was stopped after overtaking on the hard shoulder and exceeding 125mph.
The Ferrari’s driver had his licence confiscated for exceeding 110mph near Amsterdam. His co-driver took over but was then caught doing a similar speed and police confiscated the car.
Gumball’s organisers describe it as “an excuse for aristocratic delinquency” but say that there is no prize for coming first.
However, two women who took part in 2005 won the “spirit of Gumball” prize after getting stopped seven times for speeding.
At a meeting in London this week, Tispol will call for three races with British organisers, Gumball, Cannonball and Carbon Black, to be banned from public roads.
A Tispol spokesman said: “We will be calling for such rallies, which pose a danger in terms of speed, dangerous driving and fatigue, to be banned across Europe.

Struga /04/06/ 17:12
The Criminal Chamber with the Struga District Court rejected today the forensic reports of Nicholas Morley's defense lawyers, therefore they will not be brought out in the trial proceeding.
This means that the solid valid report in the evidence procedure will be the one composed by the court's expert Mile Popovski. The indictment charging Morley that he caused the accident in which Chepunjoski spouses were killed is based on Popovski's report.
The defense requested for inclusion of the reports composed by the engineer Vinko Gaica from Skopje and the British forensic expert Richard Lambor, as well as their remarks to Popovski's report, in the evidence procedure.
The two forensics reports of the defense, claim that Morley's Porsche was moving with 70 to 76 km/h in the moment of the collision, which contradicts Popovski's report which says that Briton crashed his Porsche into Chepunjoski's Golf with 158 km/h/
The main hearing that was recessed Monday afternoon will resume Wednesday by hearing of Matthew McConville, a witness for the defense and Morley's co-driver at the time of the accident that took place on 2 May near Struga.

Nicholas Morley handed suspended jail sentence
Ohrid /08/06/ 13:09
Struga District Court sentenced Nicholas Morley (Britain) to a suspended two-year suspended prison term for causing a fatal crash on the Struga-Qafasan road that left Cepuljoski couple dead.
Makfax Ohrid correspondent said the verdict was announced by Trial Chamber within Struga District Court. Judge Ace Petrevski chaired the Trial Chamber.
Defendant Morley was found guilty of dangerous driving causing a fatal crash on the Struga-Qafasan road on 2 May.
He was driving a Porsche in the Gumball 300 rally, a 3.000-mile race across Europe. The fatal crash happened near petrol station KMP Petrol. Morley was driving 161 kilometers per hour i.e. 101 kilometers more than the allowed speed, when he crashed into Golf. Both passengers aboard the Golf died of severe injuries.
Struga's courthouse ruled a two-year suspended prison sentence if he repeats the act within next three years.
Once the verdict was passed, Morley is no longer in police custody and he was freed on Friday.
